Today, the Teachers Pay Teachers app on my phone buzzed to let me know I had made a sale.
I love that cha-ching sound that the app makes. For a while, the app used to chime once a day, and then lately, it’s been quiet. Too quiet.
But for the past three days, I’ve been able to sell teachers some of my Growth Mindset lesson plans.
To be perfectly honest, I have no idea why the sales stopped, and why they just picked up this week.
I wonder if it has to do with publishing a Communication Lesson plan last week on the Educircles Teachers Pay Teachers store.
I think most of my lesson plan sales come from within the TpT website – so teachers already on the site click my product when it shows up on a search result list.
The thing is, I have no idea which search terms led these teachers to my product page.
Teachers Pay Teachers must use an algorithm to decide which products to list at the top of a search term on their site. I imagine, they’re a little like a search engine.
I wonder if how active a teacher seller is influences where your products show up in the search listing?
If this was correct, then if I publish another lesson this week, maybe it will drive more traffic within TpT to our product and lead to more sale?
Let’s see what happens!
